The form language of the collection is established as silhouettes oscillate between precision and abstraction. Suiting is reimagined in triple-layered constructions and jersey fabrics warp and twist into flowing, abstracted layers. Diffused cell-like structures appear in amorphous prints and a sea urchin bag takes form in wadded melange, where impressions of stud detailing echo organic symmetry. A new shearling offering reinterprets traditional tailoring through dynamic interplay of texture and form.
 
A bespoke gradient wool, developed in collaboration with Italian mill Manteco, orchestrates seamless tonal transitions across garments, fashioned through forms of fade. Individual yarns are woven in exactitudes, ensuring the gradient's continuity while minimising material waste through unconventional seam placements and refined grain orientations. Each piece is an exercise in precision, where pattern and texture coalesce to create an illusion of perpetual motion.

Material innovation extends the paradox between silhouette and corporeality, where a wool and alpaca blend base yarn undergoes a meticulous process of layering and heat application. A fine polyester coating is applied, yielding a paper-like rigidity, and repeated pressings form crystallised structures.

A collaboration with designer Victoria Ohanyan showcased an array of handmade beaded accessories featuring belts, bag straps and waist embellishments.

This season also sees the continuation of collaborative dialogues with both Goldwin and HOKA. In a capsule with Goldwin, _J.L-A.L_ explores the intersection of innovation and material consciousness, where Spiber's Brewed Protein™ fiber and Synflux's AI-driven pattern engineering reimagine efficiency as an evolving interplay between precision and waste reduction.

Presented in Paris, a liminal gallery of refraction unfurls where silhouettes reflect and shift in the mercurial formation of the _J.L-A.L_ Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection. A technical and philosophical study of the real and surreal, garments appear as both object and mirage - a wardrobe of sartorial abstraction, imbued with _J.L-A.L_s evolving design language.
