The iconic SILENZIO T-shirt was born in the 1990s when Robert Frank, the revolutionary American neorealist photographer, began a partnership with ASPESI. With an authentic and unfiltered style, Robert Frank highlighted social changes and innovated the language of documentary photography.
For ASPESI, he created advertising campaigns of great value. Throughout the day of work, he would repeatedly call for SILENZIO, and for him, the sound of that word in Italian held an evocative charm beyond its own meaning.
Alberto Aspesi wanted to honor his friend Robert Frank with a special SILENZIO T-shirt, which has since become a staple in the ASPESI wardrobe.
