The decision to use a single focal length lens for an entire project has been a creative technique used by cinematographers for decades, many of which went on to win awards for their work.

Most recently, we have seen this with Netflix's Adolescence, with Director of Photography Matthew Lewis shooting the entire production on a Cooke SP3 32mm lens.
