Dear Reader,

This month's newsletter is devoted to all things Chelsea, beginning with an update on September's hottest ticket - Chelsea Arts Festival, a new Country & Town House event bringing three days of culture, wonder and joy to the streets of SW3 in association with Cadogan (who own large swathes of Chelsea. Lucky them!). 

The programme is packed full of brilliant stuff - kicked off by Rupert Everett and including a gala celebration of the Women's Prize for Fiction with readings from a host of celebs, a music night with Ronnie Scott's, a film night, a comedy night, live podcasts, supper clubs, cocktail masterclasses, street performances... you get the gist. Two gigs I'm making a beeline for are Elizabeth Day in conversation with Marian Keyes (surely an excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon) at Cadogan Hall, and a live recording of the Theatre Review with David Byrne and Ambika Mod at the Royal Court. Elsewhere in Chelsea, there is plenty to see and do from our Great British Brands. 

GET OUTDOORS
At the new all-singing Chelsea Barracks, Summer in the Square brings food and culture to SW3's prettiest garden squares - expect live music from jazz and acoustic Spanish guitar to DJ sets alongside street trucks from tapas to gelato and sculpture exhibitions as you meander immaculately nurtured wildflowers. 

SHOP BEAUTIFULLY MADE BRITISH STYLE
Pop into Really Wild, just around the corner from Colbert, where I recently bought a cool pale green shirt and skirt co-ord (now in the sale). People have stopped me in the street to ask me where it's from. 

Tom Davies, opposite, offers the bespoke eyewear brand's largest collection of luxury frames - both for glasses and sunglasses - as well as its renowned Dry Eye Clinic. 

Most dazzling at Annoushka is the new season botanical jewels from dragonflies to tulips, and my fave - the totally joyous frog prince ring.  

Or make a pilgrimage to the queen of the King's Road and early sustainability champion - Vivienne Westwood - whose original World's End shop is a punky and nostalgic Aladdin's cave of the great dame's signature check with Savile Row tailoring alongside the World's End Collection, a capsule (for men and women) created in homage to the late designer's original original Chelsea store. 

AND THEN... TAKE A LOAD OFF
Make a weekend of it? Boutique five-star hotel 11 Cadogan Gardens has a summer invitation offering 30 percent off (from now until end of October) while a few doors down, The Chelsea Townhouse is a home-from-home with a private garden square. 

And The Sloane Club, originally created to provide a place for ex-service women to lay their heads, is emerging later this summer from a mega facelift, bringing it bang into the 21st century in design and ethos and including a rooftop restaurant and bar and new Bamford spa. (I also have my eye on a mother and daughter spa day at the Bamford Spa in Brompton Cross: the summer holidays can be... exhausting.)
