Now that the dust (and confetti) has settled on this year's awards. We wanted to take you through the short films who will be able to proudly call themselves Craghoppers Film Prize Winners. |
1st Prize £10,000 - An Example
An Example (or Et eksempel: Dem på gulvet) is an ambitious one-shot film by Danish director Selma Sunniva. The film follows nurse Emma through a day in a closed psychiatric facility.
Student Award £1,000 - An Example
As if this year's 1st prize winner couldn't get any better - it was made by a student! The narrative and technical skills on display in this film blew the socks off some of the most seasoned filmmakers on our judging panel.
|
2nd Prize £5,000 - The Red Suitcase
Academy Award Nominee, The Red Suitcase is a film by Cyrus Neshvad. Cyrus, born in Luxemburg of Iranian descent tells the story of a 16-year-old Iranian girl's arrival at Luxemburg airport for an arranged marriage she doesn't want to take part in.
|
Social Impact Award £2,000 - No Way Back
No Way Back is a short documentary that follows a British volunteer soldier for Ukraine and his battle back into a normal civilian life upon his return from the war.
|
Best Documentary £2,000 - The Invisible Monster
Directed by brothers Javier and Guillermo Fesser, The Invisible Monster toes the line between documentary and drama. Despite the dramatic flair - the stories told, characters you meet and the events that take place are all very much real!

2024's Craghoppers Film Prize brought arguably the most hotly contested awards to date. The quality this year was incredibly high across the board. We're proud to be able to help platform so many talented emerging filmmakers and help them to continue telling their stories through the Craghoppers Film Prize. |
