We never intended to create an iconic backpack. What started out as a project to save school kids' backs way back in 1978 ended up being recognised worldwide. Its simple boxy design and light weight make it easy to take out on everyday adventures while the robust weather-resistant Vinylon F material from Japan makes it hard to wear out.
