Shea Butter comes from the nuts of the Shea, or Karité, tree, which grows across sub-Saharan Africa and has been used for centuries for nourishment and protection. Our certified organic Shea Butter is handmade using traditional methods by a women's co-operative in northern Ghana - a fairly traded project that empowers and provides stable employment for a community of 600 women.
