Confession time: I like a little stretch in my selvedge.
I know - the denim purists have probably stopped reading.
They may even be in the back garden in their underpants burning their Hiut's whilst unsubscribing from our newsletter.
- I get it.
- I respect the denim geek.
- We have built our business thanks to your obsession for the real thing.
I love selvedge, too.
Indeed, our quest as a small maker, is to find the best selvedge in the world, give it to the best makers in the world - The GrandMasters.
Then, we let the beauty of time, and their skill do the rest.
The result is a pair of jeans that is beyond compare.
But even a denim purist would have to admit when they get active, selvedge is not the easiest pair of jeans to wear.
That's why there are times when a little flexibility can make a world of difference.
Learning from a Bridge.
The Golden Gate, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Severn Bridge from England to Wales are some of the most iconic bridges in the world.
These marvels of engineering don't just stand tall because they're strong-they endure because they bend when necessary.
Without this flexibility, these bridges would buckle under the forces of wind, traffic, and time.
And that's what inspired us for our Japanese Stretch Selvedge. It is the right balance of resilience and give, creating jeans that don't just move with you-but they last longer, too.
Of course, purists may debate the stretch. But what's undeniable is the comfort and added durability.
For me, they are the bridge between tradition and innovation.
They look like the real thing, but just a little more comfortable to wear.
I think you will enjoy these.
Best from the far west,
