Workshop Wisdom is back for the year.
We start with Folkhaus - a husband-and-wife studio designing and building bespoke furniture from their workshop in Frome.
Everything they make is handcrafted by them. Pieces shaped slowly, thoughtfully, and with the intention that they'll be lived with for a long time. Their workshop is small and purposeful - a space that keeps them close to the material, the making, and the people they're making for.
Days are shared between the bench and the drawing board. Between building, designing, and shaping the visual world around the work.
Their influences come from objects with a past - furniture that's been used, places that hold memory, and simple forms that feel right in any home.
This is a story about making things that last - and about staying true to what speaks to you.
