Hello Wellness Friends,
August already, and what a summer it's been so far - three heat waves! ☀️
Well done to the England men's football team for finishing 3rd in the World Cup, we're so proud of you. At Just Bee we've also been celebrating. And it's a milestone that feels slightly unbelievable: one million orders through our website. A million little moments of someone deciding to look after themselves with our wellness honey. Thank you, sincerely, for being part of that.
There's more coming too. We've been quietly working on something big behind the scenes, a fresh new look for the brand, landing later this year. I can't wait to show you!
On a personal note, Anna, Bea and I are off to the Lakes later this month. Fresh air, big walks and hopefully a bit of sunshine! Whatever you're up to, I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.

One of the highlights of the past few weeks has been getting out of the office and visiting one of our longest standing partners, Rutland Biodynamics, who supply many of the incredible botanicals you'll find in our wellness honey range, including echinacea, turmeric, ginseng and valerian.
We chose to visit at exactly the right time of year, when the echinacea fields were in full bloom. We'd heard how beautiful they were, but nothing quite prepared us for the sight of the vibrant purple flowers, alive with bees, butterflies and other pollinators. It was a spectacular display and a wonderful reminder of the important role these incredible plants, and the wildlife around them, play in supporting natural wellbeing.
We spent the day with Matt, who looks after the organic farm with so much care and passion. He showed us how they work alongside nature rather than against it. Wildlife is encouraged to thrive, much of the work is still done by hand, and there was even a beehive beside the echinacea field to help support pollination. It's exactly the kind of approach we love to see because it's all about producing the highest quality botanicals as naturally as possible.
One of the things that really impressed us was seeing how the echinacea is harvested and processed on the very same day. That helps preserve the plant's natural compounds, ensuring the ingredient that eventually makes its way into our Immunity Honey is as fresh as possible.
We also had the pleasure of being shown around the processing facility by the lovely Devin. It was fascinating to follow the journey from freshly harvested plants arriving from the fields to the carefully produced botanical extracts that end up in our honey. The facility has rigorous quality testing, full traceability and exceptionally high standards at every stage.
Getting out to meet the people behind our ingredients is something we believe is really important. We regularly visit our suppliers to better understand their processes, build strong relationships and make sure the ingredients that go into our wellness honey range meet the high standards we expect.
It's all part of our commitment to making daily wellness feel simple, natural and delicious. We hope you've enjoyed this glimpse behind the scenes, and that next time you enjoy a spoonful of Just Bee, you'll know a little more about the care and craftsmanship that goes into every jar.

APPLE & BLACKBERRY CRUMBLE
Nothing says comfort quite like a homemade crumble. This Apple & Blackberry Crumble brings together the natural sweetness of seasonal apples with juicy blackberries, all topped with a golden, buttery oat crumble and a drizzle of Just Bee Honey. It's the perfect pudding for cosy evenings, Sunday lunches or simply making the most of autumn's best produce.
You can use any of our honeys in this recipe, but we especially recommend Turmeric+ Honey. Its gentle warmth complements the sweet apples, tart blackberries and fragrant cinnamon beautifully, adding an extra layer of comforting flavour to every spoonful.

Hi Joe,
I love seeing your garden updates on social media. Your sunflowers look amazing, and it's been wonderful to see so many bees enjoying the lavender and salvia too. Inspired by your posts, I've planted a few more bee-friendly flowers in my own garden, and it's been lovely watching the bees and butterflies arrive. Thank you for the inspiration!

WHAT ARE BOTANICALS
Take a walk through a garden, woodland or meadow and you'll be surrounded by botanicals. The word simply refers to plants, or parts of plants, valued for their natural properties. They can come from flowers, roots, leaves, seeds, fruits or bark, and people have used them for thousands of years as part of everyday life.
Some of the earliest written records of botanicals date back more than 5,000 years. Ancient civilisations in Egypt, China, India and Greece documented how plants could be used in cooking, traditional remedies and daily rituals. Many of these same botanicals are still enjoyed today.
