Hello Wellness Friends,
May is always one of my favourite months...
It's my daughter Bea's birthday, she turns four this year, and she's an absolute delight. She's recently started pre-school, and this year we've helped them plant a bee-friendly wildflower garden, a small but meaningful way to support nature early on.
And who is excited for Eurovision?! I'll happily admit I love watching for the sheer unpredictability.
But just as importantly, May is home to World Bee Day on 20th. Since we started Just Bee in 2015, we've been on a mission to Save the Bees and each year we celebrate bees and take action to support them. Please read our feature article on World Bee Day, and I encourage you to take part, even if all you do is plant the packet of bee-friendly seeds enclosed with your order. 🙂

And finally, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who applied for our Free School Seeds Programme. We were completely overwhelmed by the response it's amazing to see so many people passionate about helping the next generation support our bees.
Applications have now closed, and we're in the process of shortlisting schools. We'll be in touch with the selected applicants very soon.

It's been a busy few months for us at Just Bee, and it feels like things are really starting to take shape.
One of the biggest changes has been happening at our HQ. As the team has grown, it became clear we needed a space that works harder for us, somewhere that reflects where we're heading as a brand. So we've been in the middle of a full renovation. It's been a big job, but a really important one. For me, the most exciting part is getting everyone back together in one place again, with the space to collaborate properly and keep building momentum. We're planning a grand opening later this month to mark the moment, which should be a great way to bring everyone together and celebrate how far we've come.
Alongside that, Laura (our amazing Marketing Director) and I spent some time at the National Food and Drink Show. It's always useful to step outside the day to day and see what's happening more broadly. There was a real energy this year, lots of innovation, new formats and interesting takes on wellness coming through. It's given us plenty of inspiration and a few ideas that we'll be exploring further as we think about what's next for Just Bee.
Something I'm particularly pleased to share is a new partnership we're starting with Groundwork and Trafford Ecology Park. Groundwork do brilliant work supporting local communities and improving green spaces, and Trafford Ecology Park plays a key role in protecting biodiversity and providing a place for both conservation and education locally.
As part of this, we'll be getting involved in a wildflower meadow project focused on increasing biodiversity and creating better habitats for pollinators. The team will be spending a day on site supporting wildflower management, alongside learning more about how these spaces are maintained and why they matter. It's a hands on way to connect what we talk about as a brand with real, practical action.
Later in the year, we're looking to take that a step further by returning to the site with a local school children to help resow the meadow. It's a chance to support the next generation in understanding the role nature plays, while contributing to something that will continue to grow over time.
We'll keep sharing how this all unfolds, from the HQ transformation to the work we're doing on the ground. Thanks for following along, we wouldn't be here without you.

I tried No Mow May for the first time last year, mainly out of curiosity. I've always kept the garden neat, so leaving it to grow felt like a change. At first it looked messy, but after a couple of weeks, things shifted. Small flowers appeared that I hadn't noticed before, and there were more bees around, especially on warm days. I also scattered some Just Bee wildflower seeds in a patch at the back. It took time, but more variety came through, and the space felt more alive. It was a simple change, but it stuck with me. I'm planning to do it again this year and keep a section like that longer term.

Bee Revival Kits
May is a very special month for us at Just Bee because it's World Bee Day, one of the most important dates in our calendar. It's a time to celebrate these incredible little pollinators, but also a reminder that they need our help now more than ever.
That's why this month, we're shining a spotlight on our Bee Revival Kit, a simple but powerful way to support a tired bee when you spot one out and about. Sometimes bees run low on energy, especially during busy foraging periods, and a small boost can make all the difference.
To help as many bees as possible, we've teamed up with our supplier to offer these kits at 50% off, just £5.99 for the month of May. We're not doing this to make a profit, we're doing it because we genuinely want to help save as many bees as we can.

WORLD BEE DAY: WHY POLLINATORS MATTER MORE THAN EVER
World Bee Day, marked each year on 20th May, is a reminder of how closely our wellbeing is connected to pollinators, and how much pressure they're now under.
At Just Bee, that connection is personal. Founded in 2015 by Joe, whose dad and grandad were beekeepers, the brand grew from a deep understanding of the challenges bees face. The first products were even made using honey from Joe's dad's hives, shaping a mission to help protect bees and the role they play in supporting both people and planet.
