Hello Wellness Friends,
Spring is finally here. Eating my breakfast in daylight, a bit of sunshine after SO much rain this year, daffodils and snowdrops in the park... it always feels like a fresh start.
March is a special month for us, as Just Bee turns 11. It's hard to believe that what started as a kitchen table idea in 2014 has grown into something so many of you now have in your daily routine. Thank you for choosing us and for your kind reviews. We'll be raising a glass to our wonderful community on the 15th.
With Mother's Day around the corner, I've also been reflecting on the women who shape us. In February we sadly lost my granny at 99. She was a tremendous woman and had a huge impact on me growing up. We miss her dearly.
Oh - and as the days get brighter, don't forget to plant those bee-friendly flower seeds enclosed in your orders - and any others you might have stored away over the winter. You will be rewarded (and the bees will thank you) soon enough. 😊

FROM TASTE TESTS TO CELEBRATIONS

It's been a busy few months at Just Bee - and honestly, just the way we like it.
At the end of last year, we sent out a survey asking what you'd love to see more of from us. We were blown away by the response. Thousands of you took the time to share your thoughts, and you didn't hold back (in the best way!). The message came through loud and clear: more functional blends, bolder flavours, and more limited editions that feel genuinely exciting.
So that's exactly what we've been focusing on.
Behind the scenes, there's been a lot of experimenting going on. Plenty of spoons, plenty of notes, and a lot of "try this one" moments around the table. We've been testing new flavour combinations and exploring different functional ingredients to see how we can better support your everyday wellbeing. Some ideas were instant favourites. Others... let's just say they won't be making it any further. If it doesn't get a proper thumbs up from the whole team from Marketing to Operations, it doesn't make the cut.
Which brings me to some news. This month we're welcoming Matt to the business. Matt will be heading up new product development, taking over from me. I've loved being hands on with creating our blends over the years, and I'll definitely miss that part. But Matt brings a huge amount of experience, and I'm genuinely excited about what that means for the future. It gives us the chance to move faster, think bigger, and bring you even more thoughtful, delicious and effective blends - designed to fit into real life.
But it hasn't all been product development and planning. In February, we celebrated Chinese New Year with some of our team who hail from Hong Kong. It was a brilliant excuse to pause for a moment, share some traditional treats, and reflect on the year ahead. I also discovered my lunar animal is the rat. I wasn't thrilled at first, until Angela told me that it's actually known for intelligence and quick thinking - ha ha ok well I'll take that. "Gōng xǐ fā cái" to all.
There's a lot brewing behind the scenes right now. The best part is that so much of it has come directly from you.
Thank you for shaping what comes next.

Lemon & Honey Chicken
Bright, comforting and wonderfully simple, this Lemon & Honey Chicken Traybake is the kind of recipe that supports you on busy days when you still want to eat well. Juicy chicken thighs roast with fresh lemon, garlic and a spoonful of Just Bee, creating a dish that feels nourishing, balanced and full of flavour with very little effort.
For this recipe, we especially recommend Just Bee Vitality Honey. Infused with ginseng and B vitamins, it adds a gentle citrus lift that enhances the lemon while bringing a subtle, rounded sweetness to the dish. It is an easy way to turn everyday cooking into a small moment of natural wellbeing.

Hi Joe
I have 5 packets of seeds stored up from my orders since Autumn - how do I plant them and how much space will 5 packets take up?

Hi Liz!
Five packets of wildflower seeds will usually cover around 5 to 10 square metres (50 - 100 sq ft in old money), depending on how generously you sow them. Choose a sunny spot, remove any grass or weeds, and lightly rake the soil to create a fine surface. Scatter the seeds evenly, gently press them into the soil, and water lightly. You can also use large pots or containers if space is limited. March to May is the best time to plant. For more info on our seeds mix, head to justbeehoney.co.uk/seeds

Sleeptime Honey
March brings lighter evenings as the clocks go forward, but that lost hour can leave sleep feeling slightly out of sync. With World Sleep Day reminding us just how vital good rest is for our overall wellbeing, now is the time to protect your wind down routine.
That's where our Sleeptime Honey comes in. Made with the finest acacia honey, calming valerian root and lavender, plus vitamin B12, it's crafted to help you gently unwind at the end of the day.
Smooth, soothing and naturally delicious, it's an easy nightly ritual. Stir into warm water or herbal tea, or take a spoonful before bed. Because better sleep doesn't need to be complicated, just simple, natural support that helps you wake up feeling restored and ready to thrive.

CREATING A BEE FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT
There's something special about March. The days stretch a little longer, the air softens, and slowly but surely nature begins to wake up. And while we're enjoying those first signs of spring, something important is happening quietly in our gardens and hedgerows.
Bees are returning.
As temperatures rise above 10°C, queen bumblebees emerge from hibernation, searching for nectar to refuel and somewhere safe to start their nests.
