Three prices, one week

At £99, the Lucan, the Banff and the Wessex. At £120, the Byrne, in leather or suede, and the Swale. At £129, the Monkton and the Guildhall.

Most of these are the shoes of long evenings and dry pavements, and we would rather they went now, to people who will wear them, than sat out the winter.

The leathers

Polished calf, from the office to a wedding

The Lucan, £99. A four-eyelet semi-brogue in polished calf, with a punched toe cap, a leather lining and a rubber island sole. Tan or black, UK 7 to 12 in both, with the odd other size on the website.

The Monkton, £129. A double monk strap with two gunmetal buckles, the straps adjusting at the instep. Brown or black, UK 7 to 10 and 12 in both.

The Guildhall, £129. A six-eyelet capped Oxford, clean-lined and the most formal of the leathers. In tan, UK 7 to 10, with the odd other size on the website. To look after them: our wax polish in light brown, dark brown or black, £13.

A slip-on penny loafer, leather lined, with a cushioned insole and a studded rubber sole. It is built on a generous last, so order one UK size down from your everyday size. Black calf or brown suede, UK 7 to 12 in both.

The Wessex, £99. A three-eyelet chukka in calf suede with a leather lining and a studded rubber sole. In brown suede, UK 7 to 13. The only shoe here in a 13.

The Byrne, in leather or suede, £120. A classic cut Chelsea boot in calf suede or pull-up calf leather, with fine elastic gussets, a full calf lining and a light Vibram sole. True to size; a wide forefoot may prefer one size up. Brown or cognac suede, or dark brown or black leather, UK 7 to 12.

The Swale, £120. A classic cut chukka in calf suede, leather lined, on a light Vibram sole. True to size; a wide forefoot may prefer one size up. Brown suede or cognac suede, UK 7 to 12 in both.
