We all know nothing of any significance happens between Christmas and New Year's. It's a sacred time set aside for watching films, long walks and doing very little at all.
To meet this mood, our wardrobe inspiration comes straight from Cameron Diaz and Jude Law in The Holiday. The perfect muses for this relaxed in-between week, mastering cosy lived-in luxe, meets classic countryside; relying on a capsule of well-cut shirts, warm winter staples and standout knits - all things we know a little bit about.
To recreate her high-flyer wardrobe, we'd start with an oversized shirt that billows well. Next, we'd go for a straight cigarette trouser, but in a soft navy to keep up the laid-back LA aesthetic. And because Amanda has her own pool, we'd pull on a boat shoe - but any navy flat would do. The jewellery's kept pared back and classic because she has no time for faff.
Amanda wasn't the only one to fall hard for Graham in this film. (He knew what he was doing, colour-coordinating his book-editor wardrobe with his blue eyes.)
